Women's Self Defense Seminar
This is a one-day self-defense and firearms course.
Join us for a full-day Women’s Defense Seminar designed to build confidence, practical skills, and personal empowerment—no prior experience required.
The morning session will focus on jiu-jitsu–based self-defense, emphasizing real-world techniques for awareness, control, and personal safety.
Instruction will be led by John Parson, a 1st-degree black belt and the head coach and founder of Bushido Jiu-Jitsu in Zionsville, alongside Rebecca Sharples, an experienced brown belt. Together, they will guide participants through approachable, effective techniques suitable for all fitness and experience levels.
In the afternoon, the seminar transitions to the shooting range, where participants will receive professional firearms instruction centered on safety, fundamentals, and responsible handling. This portion is taught by Cassie Leuck, a certified firearms instructor with over a decade of law enforcement and instructional experience. Cassie also holds a blue belt in jiu-jitsu, bringing a unique, well-rounded perspective to personal defense.

John Parson is the founder and head coach of the Bushido Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Zionsville, Indiana.
John is a 1st Degree Black Belt.
Over the years, John has fought, competed as well as coached students to success in numerous local, regional and national grappling competitions as well as amateur and professional mixed martial arts.
Rebecca Sharples is a brown belt who has been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for eight years.
Rebecca's passion for helping women be their best through Jiu-Jitsu stems from knowing how powerful a person can be from a seemingly vulnerable position.
Rebecca knows it takes a lot of courage to step foot on the mats, especially for women, and understands the strength of character and the confidence it builds is par to none.
Cassie Leuck is the lead instructor and owner of Spartan Response Training.
Cassie is a certified firearms instructor through the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) and has been training law enforcement personnel since 2016.
Cassie served our country in the US Army and has been in law enforcement for over a decade. Cassie also holds a blue belt in Jiu-Jitsu.
